Mystic Seaport!!

Today went to Mystic Seaport! My siblings and I had never been there before, but we thought it would be a fun daycation before everyone went back to school. It was beautiful and soo classic New England! Here are some of the many pics I took...

Summer House!

Today was my last day of work for the summer! I was supposed to work tomorrow, but the pool closed early because of the hurricane coming. To celebrate, we went to Summer House and had dinner and then ice cream for dessert!


Kersti and Linnea both got waffle cones.

My mom got a brownie sundae (yum!) and Johnny got a peanut butter cup sundae.

And I got peach cobbler topped with soft serve vanilla and whipped cream! Soo yummy! It's gonna be sooo nice to have this next week off before school starts. Just being able to relax is one of my favorite things about summer :)

Nerf Competition!

Back in May, my little brother Johnny entered a Nerf contest and wrote an essay about why it's "Nerf or Nothing". We were sooo surprised when about a month ago, he received a phone call saying he was one of the finalists, and then even more amazed when he won! Seriously, no one wins these things! He and my mom were flown down to Orlando for a three day, two night vacay! His team competed in four Nerf games, but since they didn't qualify for the finals, he had time to visit DisneyWorld! They went to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios and had soo much fun! I picked them up from Bradley tonight. My mom remembered that when I went to DW, I brought them these yummy chocolate dipped Mickey treats, so she brought them home for me and my sisters. I'm sooo excited to be there in just 3 months!!:)

Updates!

I haven't had much time to blog since the day after I got home, I started lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons. That's going well and I'm finally getting tan... lol I think I got more sun my 1st day of work than I did my whole summer in Idaho! I can't believe it's already August, I'm glad time is going by so fast because in just a little over 2 months, Dan will be home!!!! I'm SOOO excited for that!! I'm already seeing some Halloween decorations out in stores and it's crazy he will be home before then :) I'm soooo happy our relationship is still sooo strong and perfect and I think that once he is home, it will feel like he never left! Also, happy 27th anniversary to my parents today! :)
