Happy Easter!!

Today was such a fun, yummy, classic Easter and I had to post pics so Dan could see my day! He sent me the cutest, most loving, perfect Easter package and I had sooo much fun opening it!

I asked Dan to pick out a nail polish he thought was cute so every time I saw my toes, I'd think of him...

And I painted my toes this morning, I love this color! It's soo cute and springy! Thanks honey :)

And the delicious Easter dinner I had once I got back from church!! I also sent Dan all the ingredients to make 5 cup salad so we both were able to enjoy its classic yumminess!!

I thought this story was so funny and I had to post it :)

4/09/11- "We tracted for a while and had a hilarious experience. We met a guy who was nuts...again. It started from Irwin asking him about some crazy lookin machinery in his garage. He didn't seem too crazy and then he took us into his backyard showing us the Bronco brand trucks he's trying to restore. It eventually lead (out of nowhere) to his experience/encounter with a Sasquatch. Yup. The real deal. Otherwise known as Bigfoot. Well, apparently, he's real. He started telling us of the experience he had back in '90 with his friend and we started asking him questions about it lol. He told us to come in his house and talked to us for like over an hour! It was so hard to get away because he just went on and on! He showed us his published article in the latest issue of the Bronco magazine lol. Something like that 'happened' 21 years ago finally comes ont. It was just so corny and it was hard to believe him and keep a straight face. Irwin and I kept looking at each other like 'this guy is crazy!' He showed us his Bigfoot research online and videos of scientists trying to still discover Bigfoot lol. Anyway it was a very funny/memorable experience and we even asked for a picture with him lol :) Only while tracting!"

Happy 18 Months!!

Yay! Dan has been out for 18 months! That means he's 75% done and only has 6 more months to go :) It will be sooooo AMAZING to have him back home again! I'm already planning out what I'll wear when I get to see him and what I'll wear when we're in Disneyworld! Exciting times coming up! To celebrate him being out this long, I sent him this little package with the ingredients to make one of our favorite cakes that we had for the first time out here at school. I can't wait to hear how he enjoyed it and the other little treats in his package!! I'm sooooooooooooooo proud of you sweetheart!!!!! XOXOXOXOXO

Updates!!

I survived the hardest semester of the nursing program and I'm thrilled to be halfway done!! I'm so glad I have just one more full semester until Dan comes home! I can't wait to be with my other half again! This morning, Kersti flew home and I already miss her soo much! We had so many fun times together and it will be sad that she isn't out here with me anymore. I'm looking forward to learning about labor and delivery and pediatric nursing next semester and can't wait for the weather to actually be warm and sunny! Well that's my little update, here are some excerpts from Dan's latest journal so you can know what he's up to too!

4/1/11- "Yay! Another month AND my 18 month mark soon AND April Fool's day! I'm so happy! Plus it's finally spring here. It has been in the 70s the last couple days and we've been sweating in short sleeve shirts. Not mush has happened still in the area. I don't understand! On Wednesday, we had some mormon.org time, some visits, some tracting and a lesson with Mallisa. We tracted until 5:45pm and met Tony, Mae and their family at an Asian buffet/sushi bar! Classic times with them as always! I even had to try octopus (with the suction cups still on and everything!! Yuck!!) and muscle too lol. We had a lesson with Ryan and Katie Robinson after on the talk 'Faith- The choice is yours'. He seemed to enjoy it. That was our Wednesday."

4/3/11- "We came home, did stats and had pday eve!!! We all hung out in our bedroom with a giant tub of ice cream and 6 spoons lol and played 'catch phrase' till midnight! So classic and fun/funny! The house is sooo great right now! My buddies :)"

New Skirt :)

I just wanted to post these pics so my fam can see how cute my new Anthro skirt is :). It's always a little extra special when you wear something for the first time! I got this for Christmas and I'm glad it's finally spring so I can wear it! Love the flowers and little hummingbirds on it!

Last Clinical!!

Today was the last clinical of the semester! I'm done with classes (yay!) and once I get through my five finals this week, I'll be halfway through the nursing program! I had clinicals twice a week this semester and we got to be on Medsurg, go to a dialysis center, a cancer center, scrub into surgeries in the OR and go to a mental hospital, which is the picture above. There are some buildings there from the 1930s that they no longer use and are being torn down because they are not to code, but they look exactly like the creepy building you picture mental hospitals being. You would be able to see it a lot better if I had realized my camera was on the black and white setting for some reason, but I didn't realize that until I got home. Oops!

p.s. I was lame and the only April Fool's day prank I pulled was texting my parents that Kersti was engaged :) Johnny got the text and was soo confused lol! I'll have to think of a super good prank to pull on Dan next year to make up for not doing anything this year hm hm hm! :)
